Board Meeting Schedule and Minutes

In 2010, the Victoria Police Board will hold monthly meetings except in February and August. These meetings are usually held at the 3rd Floor Board Room of the Victoria Police Department. A few times per year the meetings are held at the Esquimalt Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend the public portion of the meetings.

The Board also meets in camera when it discusses some matters, including public security or where public disclosure could impair law enforcement, individuals’ financial or personal affairs or labour issues.

Police Board Minutes

After the public minutes of the meeting are approved, they are posted in the 2010 Board Meetings Schedule. Minutes from previous years are also available online.

Joint Police Board / Council Meetings (click here to view the schedule)

The Board also meets with the Councillors of Esquimalt and Victoria to update them on issues in the Department, particularly as they impact the annual police budget. In 2010, the Board has scheduled two Joint Police Board / Council Meetings. Other meetings may be scheduled on an ad hoc basis as required.
