Reporting directly to the Office of the Chief Constable, the Public Affairs Section of VicPD includes the media spokesperson and a web/graphic designer and media analyst. This section is responsible for daily interaction with the media and other interested community stakeholders.

Working with other areas of the organization, the Public Affairs Section will  assist in the creation of departmental collateral including brochures, recruiting materials and departmental templates. This section conducts weekly news briefings and issues news releases in regards to ongoing investigations and operations conducted by the Victoria Police Department.
