The most visible symbol of police presence within the community, the Uniform Services Division is the largest component of the department. Commonly referred to as Patrol Officers, members of this division respond to calls for assistance, maintain public order, detect and prevent criminal activity, conduct the initial investigation of reported crimes and engage in proactive policing duties 24 hours a day, everyday.
Their committment and professionalism provides a balanced approach to both criminal and social issues. They represent law and order and safeguard the lives and property of the people they serve. Their dedication improves the quality of life and sense of public safety within Victoria and Esquimalt.
