Tomorrow Marks the 27th Anniversary of Michael Dunahee’s Disappearance

Victoria, BC – Tomorrow marks the 27th anniversary of Michael Dunahee’s disappearance.

4-year-old Michael Dunahee went missing from Blanshard Elementary School on March 24th, 1991.  Michael was last seen around 12:30 p.m. in the area of the school playground.

Michael’s disappearance spawned one of the largest police investigations in Canadian history.

Patrol, Emergency Response Team, and Crisis Negotiators Work Together to Safely Resolve Call Involving Armed, Barricaded Individual

Victoria, BC- A call that involved an armed, barricaded individual has been resolved without incident or injury after a wide-reaching deployment that included officers from our Patrol Division, the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team and our Crisis Negotiators.

Officers were called to the 600-block of Nelson Street in Esquimalt for a report of a disturbance. When they arrived, officers noted that one of the people involved returned to a residence and began barricading themselves inside with a weapon.
