Local Businesses, Greater Victoria Harbour Authority and VicPD Team Up to Clean Up The Shores

Victoria, BC – VicPD officers and volunteers will be working alongside members of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority team, Transport Canada, and staff from local businesses including Coast Hotels, Spinnakers, the Delta Hotel, Red Fish Blue Fish, the Laurel Point Inn, the Chateau Victoria, and the Steamship Grill in efforts to clean up the shores of Victoria’s iconic Inner Harbour. The event will see volunteers, staff and VicPD officers cleaning up debris and garbage left along the Harbour Friday morning from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

Update | Edmonton Homicide Suspect Gregory Christopher Tessman Arrested

UPDATE | Tessman was taken into custody by Vancouver Police Department officers on the evening of September 5th. 

Officers are searching for an Edmonton homicide suspect after Edmonton Police Service investigators discovered that he travelled to Victoria by bus over the weekend.

Gregory Christopher Tessman is described as 49-year-old Caucasian man standing 6 feet tall weighing about 180lbs. He has medium length, light brown hair and blue eyes.

Suspects Sought after Serious Assault

Victoria, BC – Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men involved in an altercation.

 

Shortly before 11:00 p.m. on August 21st, an altercation between four men occurred at the corner of View and Douglas streets. Two of the men received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital. Two assailants fled the scene prior to police arrival.  It is believed that the two suspects spontaneously assaulted the victims.

Victoria, BC –Jade Kozma, a young woman who was the subject of missing person alert, has been located by West Shore RCMP officers. She is safe and VicPD officers are with her now.

Driver Search Focus Of Ongoing Investigation

Victoria, BC – Investigators are searching for a driver in an incident that occurred last Friday morning involving a vehicle and three pedestrians.

Officers are looking for the driver of a dark grey 2005 to 2010 four door Ford Focus sedan that was involved in what witnesses are describing as a “road rage” incident at Broad and Johnson streets around 8:30 on the morning of Friday, August 11th. The driver of the vehicle is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 45 to 56 years-old with short grey hair.
