Our People | Introducing Our Newest Reserve Constables

Victoria, BC – On Saturday, February 4th, our latest class of Reserve Constables were sworn in by A/Chief Del Manak before family and friends.

Victoria and Esquimalt Police Board Co-Chair Mayor Lisa Helps welcomed the class of 16 to their new roles as volunteer uniformed representatives of the Department in the communities we serve. The 2017 VicPD Reserve Constable class included a member of the Central Saanich Police Service. VicPD often partners with other regional police agencies to enable training opportunities such as Reserve officer training.

Victoria, BC – In honour of our own history as part of Black History Month we proudly acknowledge the efforts of a small group of “Black Constables” that formed one of the first organized efforts to police Victoria. These brave men's efforts paved the way for our Department's foundation. A “Black Constable” uniformed in period recreation uniform from the summer of 1858 is on display at Victoria’s City Hall.

Wanted – Jason Krause

Victoria, BC – VicPD Domestic Violence Unit Detectives are asking for your help in locating wanted man Jason Krause.



Krause has been charged with two offences under the Criminal Code, including Assault and Theft under $5000 and he is currently wanted. Krause also has outstanding warrants in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Victoria BC: VicPD is asking for the publics assistance in locating Kassidy Batchelor.  Kassidy has been reported missing and her family is concerned for her welfare. Kassidy is described as a Caucasian female standing five-feet, five-inches tall weighing approximately 115 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.

VicPD Investigating after Serious Collision

Victoria, BC – VicPD Traffic investigators continue their investigation into a serious collision Sunday night involving a vehicle and an electric bicycle.

At around 7:30 p.m. VicPD officers were called to the intersection of Hillside Avenue at Cook Street for the report of a motor vehicle collision.  Responding officers located a 72 year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries. The man was transported to hospital.
