Victoria, BC –  Police are searching for the rightful owners of stolen property while recommending a total of 25 charges against three men after a loaded firearm, said property, and drugs were located during a traffic stop and resulting search warrant.

Nov 2nd, 2016 UPDATE - Blaine Isherwood was taken into custody by VicPD officers last night following tips from the public. Thank you for your help in locating this wanted man. He remains in custody.

A warrant was issued for Isherwood’s arrest after he was charged with five offences under the Criminal Code, including two counts of assault, mischief, uttering threats and breaching probation.

If you follow us on Twitter, you’ll often see our messaging about abandoned 911 calls.

This year, from January 1st to September 30th we’ve recorded files for 6529 abandoned 911 calls. To put that in perspective we reached 44800 calls for service in that same time period. Abandoned 911 calls make up 14.6% of the total calls this year. That’s more than one out of every ten calls to 911.

Victoria, BC – VicPD traffic investigators are looking for a driver of a vehicle after hit and run.

On October 14th, 2016 just after 9:15 p.m. members of our traffic section attended a single vehicle motor vehicle incident in the 2500-block of Shelbourne Street. Witnesses observed a blue BMW travelling at a high speed begin to ‘fish tail’ striking a retaining wall (see attached photo). The vehicle drove off north bound on Shelbourne Street.

Attempted Break and Enter Leads to Arrest

Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are recommending three charges against a man after he attempted to break into a residence.


On October 15th, a resident in the 1000-block of Foul Bay Road called police reporting that somebody was attempting to break into a residence. Police quickly attended and located a man fleeing from the area. The officer gave chase and was later joined by Police Service Dog Uno and his handler. PSD Uno was able to locate the man a short distance away.
