Victoria, BC – Officers are searching for a female suspect after two people were injured by her dog on the grounds of local school.
Victoria, BC – One man is in custody for three separate “drive-by purse snatching” incidents, two in Victoria and one in Saanich, which occurred over the past month.
Last night, Victoria Police working with the assistance of the Shawnigan Lake RCMP arrested the man who was identified as the suspect in the incidents. The Victoria incidents both occurred between 8 and 9 p.m. on August 31st.
Officers are looking for suspects after two men reported being assaulted during a robbery in a park in the 1500-block of Pandora Avenue.
Just after 1 a.m. this morning, officers were called for a report of an assault and robbery. When they arrived they located two men with non-life-threatening injuries. Both men were transported to hospital. The men reported that they had been assaulted by two other men in the park.
VicPD officers are investigating after attending a daytime break and enter just after 3 p.m. yesterday.
A homeowner in the 400–block of Superior Street called us reporting that an unknown man had entered her house through an unlocked door. The homeowner’s dog was able to chase this unknown man out of the house. The suspect, who is described as a Caucasian man in his 40s with a medium build and wearing dark clothing, was not located after a search of the area.
VicPD investigators are recommending several charges against a 22-year old man after a lengthy standoff.
Yesterday afternoon just after 2:30 p.m., officers attended a business in the 400-block of Gorge Road East after receiving a call regarding a man who was refusing to leave the bathroom. When police arrived, they were confronted by an agitated man holding a weapon who attempted to injure the attending officers. The man, who was in the bathroom, refused to come out for police despite repeated attempts to have him cooperate.

Investigators are looking to identify witnesses as part of a sexual assault investigation.
Passersby called police when they observed a sexual assault taking place in the 700-block of Cormorant Street around 2 a.m. on August, 31st. Officers attended and took a man into custody.
Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are recommending 26 charges of Break and Enter against a Victoria man.
Over the past month, VicPD’s Analysis and Intelligence Section observed an increase in overnight Break and Enters. Further analysis noted similarities in a series of reported Break and Enters dating back to February this year.
Officers recently seized ATM Card skimmers in three different locations. These card skimmers, which are placed over top regular card input slots, collect financial data from credit and debit cards and pass this information to fraudsters. One of these skimmers also had a pinhole camera which collected hours of PIN data.
