Daytime Break and Enter Leads to Warning

VicPD officers are investigating after attending a daytime break and enter just after 3 p.m. yesterday.


A homeowner in the 400–block of Superior Street called us reporting that an unknown man had entered her house through an unlocked door.  The homeowner’s dog was able to chase this unknown man out of the house.  The suspect, who is described as a Caucasian man in his 40s with a medium build and wearing dark clothing, was not located after a search of the area.


Standoff Results in Arrest of One Man

VicPD investigators are recommending several charges against a 22-year old man after a lengthy standoff.  


Yesterday afternoon just after 2:30 p.m., officers attended a business in the 400-block of Gorge Road East after receiving a call regarding a man who was refusing to leave the bathroom. When police arrived, they were confronted by an agitated man holding a weapon who attempted to injure the attending officers. The man, who was in the bathroom, refused to come out for police despite repeated attempts to have him cooperate.


Investigation Leads to Arrest in 26 Break and Enters

Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are recommending 26 charges of Break and Enter against a Victoria man.

Over the past month, VicPD’s Analysis and Intelligence Section observed an increase in overnight Break and Enters.  Further analysis noted similarities in a series of reported Break and Enters dating back to February this year.

Have You Seen Missing Man Jason Knight?

Victoria, BC –Investigators are asking for your help in locating missing man Jason Knight, after several days of searching.


Jason is described as a 40-year-old Caucasian man with a light to medium build, standing five feet, six inches tall. Jason has very short brown hair and green eyes and often wears a goatee.  A recent photograph of Jason is below.

Do you know this Fraud Suspect?

Victoria, BC – VicPD Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in relation to a Fraud that occurred on August 16th.

Patrol officers attended the 1700-block of Douglas Street after a staff member at a local business stated that a man had defrauded the business out of an undisclosed amount of money.  Staff stated that the man attempted to pay for something, repeatedly swapped currencies, and was very demanding. The man was able to confuse the staff member in a way that he was able to obtain the money.
