Investigation Leads to Arrest in 26 Break and Enters

Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are recommending 26 charges of Break and Enter against a Victoria man.

Over the past month, VicPD’s Analysis and Intelligence Section observed an increase in overnight Break and Enters.  Further analysis noted similarities in a series of reported Break and Enters dating back to February this year.

Victoria, BC –Investigators are asking for your help in locating missing man Jason Knight, after several days of searching.


Jason is described as a 40-year-old Caucasian man with a light to medium build, standing five feet, six inches tall. Jason has very short brown hair and green eyes and often wears a goatee.  A recent photograph of Jason is below.

Victoria, BC – VicPD Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in relation to a Fraud that occurred on August 16th.

Patrol officers attended the 1700-block of Douglas Street after a staff member at a local business stated that a man had defrauded the business out of an undisclosed amount of money.  Staff stated that the man attempted to pay for something, repeatedly swapped currencies, and was very demanding. The man was able to confuse the staff member in a way that he was able to obtain the money.

Victoria, BC – Investigators are asking for your help in identifying a person of interest in an August 2nd arson in Reeson Park, on the Victoria waterfront.

Just after 7 a.m. on Tuesday August 2nd, VicPD officers and Victoria Fire Department firefighters were called to a grass fire in Reeson park, located in the 1200-block of Wharf Street. The fire was quickly extinguished without further incident and there were no injuries, despite the extremely dry conditions.

VicPD is proud to announce that Det. Sgt. Kris Rice is being recognized by the International Association of Chiefs of Police with its inaugural “40 Under 40” Award.

The IACP “40 Under 40” Award was developed to recognize forty law enforcement professionals under the age of 40 from around the world who demonstrate leadership and exemplify commitment to their profession. The forty dedicated law enforcement professionals selected for IACP’s inaugural “40 Under 40” Award are current and up-and-coming leaders from all over the world in all types of law enforcement organizations.
