Witness Sought After Building Collision

Victoria, BC – VicPD officers continue their investigation into a collision where a vehicle crashed into a building.

Just after 6:30 a.m. yesterday, VicPD members were called to the 0-block of Boyd Street after the report of a single vehicle collision. Initial reports indicate that a vehicle crashed into an apartment building causing damage to the front doors. The lone driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Three In Custody Following Brief Pursuit, Collision

Victoria, BC – Officers are investigating after a brief pursuit and collision lead to the arrest of three individuals this afternoon.

Just after 1 p.m. this afternoon a plain-clothes VicPD officer called 911 after spotting a vehicle involved in an alleged firearm incident in Saanich this morning. When back-up officers arrived, the suspect vehicle fled the scene at high speed.

Victoria, BC – Missing Persons Investigators are asking for your help in locating missing man Kevin McPhee. McPhee, an Alberta resident who came to Victoria to work in the trades industry, has not been heard from since February 2nd, 2016.

CrimeReports Clarification

Victoria BC – In March of 2011, VicPD launched CrimeReports which allowed citizens to access crime data in a timely manner. At the time, VicPD was the first agency in BC and one of only six in Canada to make this tool available to the public creating a transparent way of seeing crime that is occurring in your neighbourhood. 

Since then, CrimeReports has been accessed by over 14,000 people (in 2015 alone) in our community for a variety of reasons.
