LOCATED | VicPD Requesting the Public’s Assistance in Locating Missing Man

UPDATE – Mr. Holly was found deceased last night by Sooke RCMP and Search and Rescue. His death is not being deemed suspicious. Thank you all for your help in trying to locate Mr. Holly. Our sympathies to his family, friends and colleagues.

Victoria BC – VicPD officers are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Robby Holly, a 59-year-old Esquimalt man who was reported missing today.

UPDATE: Officers Determine Death Non-Suspicious

Victoria, BC –VicPD Detectives have concluded their investigation into the body that was found on the shoreline of Dallas Road on Monday, and have determined the death to be non-suspicious.

Officers were called to the 1400-block of Dallas Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning, after a person walking along the shoreline discovered the body. After an investigation by VicPD Patrol officers and Detectives, it has been determined that the death was not suspicious.

Missing 26 year-old woman located safe

We’ve removed her image and description, but officers wanted to thank you, members of our community for your help in getting the word out so quickly. Your work helped bring her family great relief.

#VicPDHelps Returns for Canada Day 2015

Victoria BC – VicPD is happy to announce that for the fourth Canada Day in a row, non-emergency calls for service can be made on Twitter with the hash tag #VicPDHelps.

Over the past four years, this successful initiative has helped our community locate a missing 90-year-old man and saw the return of a lost 5-year-old boy to his family, both with crowd- sourced information.  Officers are excited to be using Twitter again to engage the public throughout the Canada Day events.

VicPD Detectives Looking for Witnesses in Assault

Victoria, BC – VicPD detectives are looking for witnesses of a random assault that occurred last night leaving a 30-year-old Victoria woman with significant but non-life threating injuries.

Officers were called to the 100-block of Rendall Street in James Bay, at approximately 10:30 p.m., after numerous 911 calls reporting that the woman had been attacked and was bleeding from a wound on her head. They arrived to find numerous concerned community members tending to the victim.
