Arrest Made in Victoria Arson

In the early morning hours of November 8th, patrol officers attended to a report of a fire in the 700-block of Queens Avenue.  With assistance from the Victoria Fire Department, the blaze was quickly extinguished, limiting damage.  The cause of the fire was suspicious in nature.  Patrol officers and members of the Major Crime Unit conducted an investigation, which resulted in a suspect being identified.  The suspect was located and arrested on November 9th, and following a tele-bail hearing, Michael Willman remains in custody.  The investigation continues.

 

Additional garbage-bin fires have been reported, however, at this time investigators have no information to suggest that those incidents are related.
