File #     15-39144

Victoria, BC – A man and a woman are recovering in hospital after an early morning collision at the intersection of Vancouver Street and Pandora Avenue.

VicPD Patrol and Traffic officers responded to a number of calls to our 911 Communications Centre just before 7 a.m. this morning for a report of a three vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered the drivers of two of the vehicles involved suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Initial investigation by the VicPD CRASH Team indicates that one of the drivers failed to stop on the red light, and her vehicle collided with the second vehicle in the intersection. The impact forced the struck second vehicle into the third vehicle which was waiting at the light . Luckily, the driver of that third vehicle was not hurt.

The injured man and woman were transported to hospital.

No charges have been laid at this time.

The investigation continues.
