Victoria, BC – On Friday, August 14th, VicPD officers and staff danced Bhangra on the legislature lawn with Gurdeep Pandher of the Yukon.

VicPD was joined by officers and staff from Saanich Police, Central Saanich Police, Oak Bay Police, Westshore RCMP, and Duncan/North Cowichan RCMP.

We are proud to embrace the joy of dancing Bhangra with Gurdeep, and to share his message of unity, diversity and inclusion through dance. Gurdeep’s message has never been more important than today, in the extraordinary and challenging times we are all facing.

Our response to exclusion is inclusion. Our response to division is to join together. Our response to hate is love.

Everyone deserves the right to be heard, to be listened to, and to be safe, no matter who you are, where you are from, what you believe or who you love.

At VicPD, our duty is to protect these rights for all.

We will continue to strive to promote the values Gurdeep embodies in having us join together and share kindness, healing and unity.
