Victoria BC – VicPD Detectives arrested Teagyne McFarlane and her accomplice for two robberies that occurred late last month.   

The pair was arrested late last week and was the couple responsible for the robbery of two 11-year-old girls on November 14th.  The girls were robbed of their backpacks and electronics as they left Hillside Mall after a day of shopping.

A similar robbery occurred on November 26th when two women were robbed of personal items after they had left Mayfair Mall. McFarlane was also charged with this robbery. A public warning was issued by VicPD at that time.

The arrests follow weeks of investigation that saw numerous tips and evidence lead to the arrest of these two suspects.

“Getting these two suspects identified and arrested will surely provide some relief to the families and our community,’ said Detective Joan Elliott one of the lead investigators.

McFarlane a 18-year-old girl of no fixed address was held in custody and is facing four counts of robbery, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and possession of stolen property. Charges for her accomplice for the November 14th robbery, a 19-year-old Sidney man was released on a promise to appear for January 17th one count of robbery.
