Targeted Theft Takes Thousands Worth of Bikes

Victoria BC – Thousands of dollars’ worth of high-end bikes were stolen from a secure underground parkade, in what officers are calling a targeted theft.

Officers were called to the 600-block of Superior Street this morning after the victim of the theft had found the secure bike compound broken into and his three bikes stolen. Officers suspect the bikes were the sole target of the thieves as many other items were left in the compound.

The bikes were secured in the locked compound and even locked together inside. Officers found cut locks chains on the ground.

A canvas of the neighbourhood did not provide any leads and now officers are hoping the community can help.

The bikes are described as follows:

  1. Rocky Mountain Custom downhill bike with  Rock Shox Boxxer World Cup suspension forks.
  2. Orange Santa Cruz dirt jump / mountain bike with  Fox 831 suspension forks
  3. Academy Desire BMX with purple wheels.

If you have any information on this theft, please call VicPD on the non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 or report it anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
